With some big names, such as Scott Ames of Scott’s Catering and Bento Box, Andy Turner of 13/59 at Port Ferdinand, Marco Festini of Daphne’s Restaurant, Dane Saddler of Caribbean Villa Chefs, alongside Ann Marie Leach who was the head pastry chef at Lady Fingers and Andrea Power, owner, head chef and creator of the artisan cheese company Hatchmann Cheeses, patrons were exposed to a night where great food was paired with fine wines provided by Wine World (of course). And for those who were a little shy, no worries, the Wine World staff was on hand to walk you through and give you a crash course so that you find your wine palate. Throughout the night music was provided by DJ D Luxe (Donna Goodman), who was a featured DJ on many occasions at The Cliff Restaurant and Bar, and DJ Jama (Greg Goddard) who changed the pace later on in the night. Between these sets, live music was delivered by Bajan sultry songbird, Debbie Reifer.

Of course, many thanks must go out to Wine World and Stansfeld Scott for taking the lead and inviting us to help them execute and produce the event. Special mention must also be made to ICBL insurance (a main sponsor) and the Rotary Club of Barbados West who received some of the proceeds of the night’s festivities. It was certainly a night to remember and one that should be repeated in the near future.
