The first ever Bliss events held were not the summer events, but the 2005 / 2006 New Year’s Eve / Ole Year’s Night event held at the Gun Hill Signal Station in St. George. The event came about as three friends had a concept that they wanted to share with family and friends. Believe it or not the first price of the “all-inclusive” event was $80 and it attracted fewer than 100 hundred patrons but all had fun, and the launch of the New Year’s Event occurred. Throughout the years, many themed events took place, such as an airport-based theme in 2008 held at the Concorde hangar, a Chinese based theme such as “Enter The Dragon”, and even a classic in 2009, “The Great Gatsby”. The New Year’s / Ole Year’s event continued until 2012 / 2013, when the directors decided to pivot in another direction.
