As Caribbean people, good food is near and dear to our hearts. At our events, we have assembled a team of the who’s who of the Barbadian culinary scene. From non-vegan to vegan and vegetarian, there are a wide range of delicious options whether you just want a little party fuel or whether you consider yourself a foodie. This area has not always been the pillar of strength that it is today. It has taken trial and error, hard work, and the ability to internalize and use criticism from our most important critics, you. Under the watchful eye of Judith Rose Giovine, there is now no culinary event on this island with which we cannot proudly stand shoulder to shoulder. Bon appétit!
Drinks
As befits the place where rum was invented, Bajans know their alcohol. Any category of alcohol, you name it, BLISSers are experts and keep us on our toes. With this level of discriminating taste amongst our guests, we know that nothing but the best will do. We have partnered for years with some of the most well known and well loved brands in the marketplace and from the very first Summer BLISS, Esquire has employed industry leading mixologists for all of its events.
No amount of premium alcohol can make up for poor bar service. We have put a huge emphasis on this aspect. Our well drilled crew of bar staff, under the guidance of Kevin Clarke, continues to steal the show event after event.

Cabanas
In 2014 a close friend of ours asked us about the ability to have a personalized zone/ VIP area at our event. We replied that everyone at our event is a VIP and that premium service is offered to everyone once you have a ticket one of our events. This question seemed to pop up more and more frequently from both local and international patrons. So in 2016 we did some research on the topic and to be honest with you we were kind of confused. You see, the cabana experience is nothing new. It has been offered at many events around the world, even in Barbados.

After speaking to many of our own vendors, team members, family, close friends, and regular patrons, in 2018 the “Bliss Cabana Experience” was launched at our summer event. Initially we wanted to start small, baby steps, but received numerous request and our cabanas were sold out.
Designated parking, hand delivered tickets, ultra-premium liquor choices, private cabana bar area, personal hostess as well as quick and easy access into the event are some of the amenities that you receive when booking a private cabana at Bliss.
Spa
Esquire events are supposed to be experiences. They are conceptualized to titillate the senses sometimes in ways not expected at events of this nature. But why should this not be the expectation? We couldn’t come up with a good reason why not and so Spa at BLISS was born. Over the years we have added massages, then make up, then haircuts and grooming, and most recently face and body painting. We have always felt that it is that little extra detail which can make the biggest difference. We encourage you to come and add to your BLISS experience.
vXe
After spending approximately five years with Xhosa, as a section owner/ promoter, we felt it was time to part was from them and start our own thing. Ironically Vida, comprised of Ryan Codrington, Ryan Forde, and the talented award-winning Caribbean designer, Jin Forde, who also had a section in Baje as Vida, also felt it was their time to part ways from that bank as well. The two forces collided and as a result Vida by Esquire , VXE the band was launched in 2020. Unfortunately, there were some roadblocks, one main on being the Covid-19 pandemic, which mean that there was no official Crop Over in 2020. In 2021, VXE held their first event dubbed “Park Out” at the drive-in cinemas, and the vibe and the turn out were both great. Again there was no formal Kadooment due to the pandemic. In 2022, VXE plans to continue its “Park Out” series, but the inaugural VIDA road march is schedule for 2023, when we come an array of designs by not only Jin Forde herself but other Caribbean designers such as “Designs by Lauryn”.
Vibes
True, we provide the best in food and drink that can be found on the island. True, we ferret out new and unique venues and introduce them to the party scene. But if we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a hundred times. All of this is dressing to the meat and potatoes of our party, the Vibe. We take minimal credit for it. We provide the right mix of food, drinks, music and venue, yes. But the vibe is down to the most hype group of partygoers assembled anywhere on the island and dare I say, beyond. Rain, sun, heels, flats, early, late, BLISSers routinely take the partying and vibes to a ridiculous level.

Our music lineup has been critical to our success. Ask Mayhem Soundz, they’ve been spinning tunes since inception. Or ask Stan, Bubbles, or Jon Doe – all of whom have graced the BLISS stage and flattened the place. We have introduced Private Ryan to the Crop Over summer, recognized the amazing talent that is Puffy, tapped into the foreign market with Shep Beats, Billy, Richie Ras and more. We have seamlessly introduced live performances with some of the Who’s Who of local entertainment. And of course, we introduced Patrick “The Hypeman” to host and whip folks into a frenzy.
We will always consider BLISS a party first and foremost and never stop building vibes in any way we can. But let’s be honest, once we have the BLISS crew, we know that’s always going to be mission accomplished.
